Reconstruction:Proto-Finnic/uuci
Appearance
Proto-Finnic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Finno-Ugric *wuďe (“new”) (whence also e.g. Proto-Samic *oδës, Hungarian új). The long vowel is unexpected, but may result from an irregular vocalization of initial *w-.
Adjective
[edit]*uuci[1]
