Reconstruction:Proto-Finnic/hap'oin
Appearance
Proto-Finnic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From earlier *šappojmi, from Proto-Finno-Permic *šappa(-ma), possibly borrowed from a substrate language.
Adjective
[edit]*hap'oin[1]
Inflection
[edit]Uncertain; the vowel stem may have been *happama-, which would have resulted in levelling; to the nominative **hap'an in Northern Finnic, and to oblique forms elsewhere. This alteration would have been preserved in Old Literary Finnish, where hapoin ~ happaman (nominative ~ genitive) is attested.
This adjective needs an inflection-table template.
