Proto-Finnic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From earlier *ana + *-odak, from Proto-Finno-Permic *ana-, akin to Erzya анамс (anams, “to want, ask, beg”) and Moksha анамс (anams, “to want, ask, beg”). Proto-Samic *ānōtēk is possibly an early loan from Finnic.
