This Proto-Eskimo entry contains reconstructed terms and roots. As such, the term(s) in this entry are not directly attested, but are hypothesized to have existed based on comparative evidence.
A user suggests that this Proto-Eskimo reconstruction entry be cleaned up, giving the reason: “CED has two entries under *aci, only one is related to the meaning listed below but it is a Proto-Yupik entry, not a Proto-Eskimo entry. The Inuit descendants are instead all listed under the PE entry *at(ə)-. The other *aci entry also isn't PE (instead it is Proto-Inuit) and also has a listed definition of "somewhere or something remote or vague" that clearly doesn't match this entry.”
Please see the discussion on Requests for cleanup(+) for more information and remove this template after the problem has been dealt with.
