Etymology

Matasović derives this from *klukā (“stone”) +‎ *-aros, but this is phonetically impossible as we would expect Welsh **clygyr instead of clegyr (*klukar-yo- > *klokar-yo- does not work since there was no such thing as internal a-affection in Brittonic).
