[edit]From Proto-Iranian *Hwahumanah, from *Hwáhuš (“good”), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *Hwásuš, + *mánah (“mind, thought”), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *mánas.[1][2] Cognate with Avestan 𐬬𐬊𐬵𐬎𐬨𐬀𐬥𐬀𐬵 (vohu.manah), Parthian 𐭅𐭄𐭅𐭌𐭍𐭉 (Wahman), 𐭅𐭄𐭅𐭌𐭍𐭊 (Wahmanak).
