Latin
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Pronunciation
[edit]Noun
[edit]*ērīciōnem m (plural *ērīciōnēs) (Proto-Western-Romance)
Reconstruction notes
[edit]Relatively late formation, considering that it lacks the otherwise-expected weakening and loss of /i/ in this position. Apparently originated in the north, where it eliminated the reflexes of ērīcius, and propagated southwards.
