[edit]From huēhueti, huēhuehti (“to age, grow old”) + -qui. Attested indirectly in forms like the apocopic huēhueh, the plural huēhuetqueh, and derived terms like huēhuetcāyōtl (“old age”) and the diminutive huēhuetcātōntli (“small old man”).
