New York System (plural New York Systems)

  1. A kind of Rhode Island food outlet serving wieners made with pork, beef and veal, served in steamed buns.
    • 2012, Linda Beaulieu, Providence & Rhode Island Cookbook, page 62:
We're talking 100 percent all-beef jumbo hot dogs served in a hot, soft, French roll, not those little wieners in fluffy white buns sold at New York Systems.
