@Erutuon Hi. Could you please add Arabic punctuation symbols, please! Like ؟, ، and ؛? :) --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 11:01, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Atitarev: Added those; Western
,;?
will be transformed to their Arabic equivalents. (I can change that if there are situations in which the Western punctuation marks would be wanted.) — Eru·tuon 17:19, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
More requests for Arabic
[edit]@Erutuon. Hi. Could you add ـٰ (-ā) and the "Allah" ligature للّٰه, please? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 06:40, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- I'd like to be able to enter بِٱللّٰهِ (bi-l-lāhi), وَٱللّٰهِ (wal-lāhi) or ذٰلِكَ (ḏālika). --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 06:49, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- Have any suggestions for what the shortcuts for these should be? I'm trying to figure something out that would make sense... — Eru·tuon 07:03, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, an idea:
L
for the Allah ligature (reminding one of the fact that it has an emphatic l) and_a
for the superscript alif. — Eru·tuon 07:05, 17 June 2017 (UTC)- Yes, sounds very good. Sorry for not giving the ideas. I wasn't sure myself if there are good substitutes.
- I'm planning to use it more extensively for Arabic entries, so more requests are coming, if it's OK.
- Are you open for requests on other languages? Is e.g. Korean RR romanisation (very consistent) to hangeul possible (by syllable blocks)? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 07:12, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Erutuon Perhaps the underscore
_
should be reserved for ـ ?--Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 07:15, 17 June 2017 (UTC)- @Atitarev: Currently the taTwiil is typed using hyphen. I can change the shortcut, if you have an alternative. — Eru·tuon 07:25, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Erutuon Thanks! Now I got the usual spelling (not a single character) of "Allah" with
{{subst:chars|ar|All_ah}}
: اللّٰه. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 07:26, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
