@Wyang Err, how is this breaking? —Aryaman (मुझसे बात करो) 20:36, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Aryamanarora Err, I've fixed the breaking. Now someone needs to fix the failing... Wyang (talk) 22:35, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Tone and inherent vowel deletion
[edit]@AryamanA, @DerekWinters, @Dubomanab Hi we discussed about Sylheti tones. The earlier aspirated characters and h were replaced by tones.
- So comparing with Old Assamese:
- ghoro = gór (🏠)
- pohoro = foór (💡 light)
- ghORa = gúRa (🐎)
- bhato = bát (🍚)
- hati = átti (🐘)
- etc
- So can we add the tone diacritics on the vowels after the aspirated consonants and ’ for the "h" (example: ꠀ’ꠔ (át, “hand”)).
- The 2nd request is the inherent vowel deletion which is probably same as Hindi.
- For example,
- ꠝꠉꠎ, ꠝꠉꠎꠧ = mogoz (brain), mogzo (in brain)
- ꠃꠙꠞ, ꠃꠙꠞꠞ = ufor (up), ufror (of up)
- (compare Assamese: mogoz, mogozot, üpor, üporor)
- Can you apply that rule? Msasag (talk) 13:38, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Msasag But also, there are words like aor - áor, and other ones that I cannot exactly predict. DerekWinters (talk) 23:10, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- I added several tone testcases. DerekWinters (talk) 23:52, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
@DerekWinters We will spell those words as ꠀ’ꠅꠞ (áor), here ’ is used as the tone marker. Msasag (talk) 02:27, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Msasag: I will try to implement some of this. This is strangely similar to Punjabi... —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करें • योगदान) 02:36, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
@AryamanA Thanks! Waiting :) Msasag (talk) 16:05, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
