Template:ar-root broken now with new additions

[edit]

@Fenakhay: I’m not necessarily sure why these changes were made to {{ar-root}} to use Module:sem-arb-utilities instead of what it was using before as you provided no edit summary?

Also, the change is causing error "Lua error in Module:sem-arb-utilities at line 37: Root must have at least three radicals" that I noticed on صلاة#Arabic. So I’ve reverted the changes you made to {{ar-root}}, (and should to this module too as all had no edit summary, but aren’t going to as this module has had majority of the latest edits by you so I don’t want to break it too) and I couldn’t try a partial revert or try fix it myself without the knowledge as to why they were done in the first place.

Please use the sandbox and testcases, particularly testing صلاة#Arabic in a testcase environment, before deploying your changes. Waddie96 (talk) 16:14, 10 January 2025 (UTC) (edit 16:16, 10 January 2025 (UTC))Reply

@Waddie96: Perhaps if you had followed through and fixed the entry itself, the error would have been resolved. Please avoid reverting code if you’re not sure how it works. — Fenakhay (حيطي · مساهماتي) 17:25, 10 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Fenakhay After my revert the {{ar-root}} template was working again? I did NOT revert your changes to this module as stipulated above because I do not know code that well. And I stated that. So do not tell me to avoid editing it when I don't. As stated above as well I did not follow through and fix the entry because it was only broken because you changed the module it invoked. Please be kinder in conversation, and use edit summaries to communicate better - see Help:Edit summary as to why they are required. Waddie96 (talk) 18:13, 10 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
