Irregular plurals - stress

Dunno if that helps, but from the Latin standpoint, the accent of the first two is what's expected: starting from the end, it goes back two syllables. Since one syllable is added in the plural, it goes one syllable less far than in the singular. spé (3) - ci (2) - men (1) > spe - cí (3) - mi (2) - na (1).

It might be aberrant synchronically speaking (I wouldn't know, I don't know the usual Spanish rules of stress), but personally I'm just seeing the regular Latin rules.
