Anarchism

[edit]
  • @I'm so meta even this acronym Re: this edit, the fact that there is such a thing as anarcho-capitalism proves that most anarchism is not capitalist and most capitalism is not anarchist. There is even a pretty big rift amongst anarchist if "anarcho-capitalism" is a self-defeating idea. Philosophical merits aside, almost no terms related to anarchism are related to capitalism and vice versa--it's not reasonable to think that they coincide enough to justify one being a parent of the other. Anarchism when founded was explicitly anti-capitalist and much of it has remained so--it's not a subset of capitalism in any measure. —Justin (koavf)TCM 22:08, 11 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── @Koavf: Very well, but in that case we should take it out of socialism, too, since socialism is quite a statist thing: the dictatorship of the proletariat. — I.S.M.E.T.A. 22:26, 11 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

I'm fine with that. —CodeCat 22:32, 11 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
@I'm so meta, even this acronym: Yeah, sure--there's a lot more overlap between anarchism and libertarian socialism but agreed, it's not like anarchism is a class or subset of socialism nor vice versa. Either way, it's in no way a child system of thought of capitalism. —Justin (koavf)TCM 00:09, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
