Module talk:category tree/topic cat/data/Places
Add topicUnexplained error
[edit]Why can't I add:
labels["rivers in South Korea"] = {
description = "{{{langname}}} names of rivers in South Korea.",
parents = {{name = "rivers", sort = "Korea, South"}, "South Korea", "list of sets"},
}

- That's a good question. Why can't you? —CodeCat 16:08, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
- @CodeCat: I kept on getting errors of the sort "Lua error at line X: unexpected symbol near 'Y' " repeatedly (e.g. "Lua error at line 2021: unexpected symbol near 'in' ") but they would change line and character even when I pasted in the same information. Unrelated: these modules are far too long and need to be split. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 16:18, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
Waterfalls
[edit]Rivers (and seas, and hills, etc) are in this module, but waterfalls are in Module:category tree/topic cat/data/Earth. Is this intentional? Is it coherent? - -sche (discuss) 08:07, 21 May 2017 (UTC)
Uncategorized categories
[edit]@Benwing2 Category:Categories_that_are_not_defined_in_the_category_tree currently has a number of categories, like Category:en:Municipalities of Italy and Category:en:Communities_of_Wales, that for some reason aren't properly being placed into the category tree, and even looking into it myself i'm unsure why that's the case. was told to ping you on the matter. - Module:place/shared-data indicates, for each country and country-like division (e.g. Wales), what the recognized political subdivisions are. Municipalities aren't listed for Italy, and communities aren't listed for Wales. I don't know enough about the political structures of Italy and Wales to know whether they should be added or the code elsewhere should be changed to not categorize things into these categories.
