Ah ok. I would support if this is to be added to the link function in Module:zh. The default display in {{zh-l}} of the Mandarin reading is not ideal, as it is confusing without a variety label and may create an impression of Mandarin-centrism. However, the transcriptions may be too long if they are all displayed, especially in running text or {{zh-der}}. Maybe we could use a more succinct format for mobiles (screen.width?) and a full version for desktops. Also, perhaps the utility could extract the simplified (and variant forms) from the entry (if it exists) too, such as for 附著. Wyang (talk) 07:06, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

The formatting of the romanizations is definitely too incomplete for this to be used widely.

If we intend to list every romanization of a word it's bound to become long; I've already tried shortening the labels to "M." and such... (which is why I've considered using JavaScript to hide/show things in the past, but I don't know JavaScript...)

Maybe Module:User:Suzukaze-c/zh-extract should become a general "extract word data" thing? (for simplified)

JavaScript looks like it can solve many problems of the world; wait till I start with reading JavaScript 101 when I have time... An extract-data module would be very handy, and I really hope some preview feature like the one in Moedict and Cantodict can be actualised. Another way to do show/hide may be Lua, but the regional word conversion module used by zh.wp (w:zh:模块:NoteTA) looks complicated. Wyang (talk) 07:48, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
