Etymology

Blend of Malaysia +‎ Bangladesh, reversed counterpart of Banglasia. Along with Banglasia, it was popularized by various anti-Malaysia groups in late 2023 due to a recent surge of Bangladeshi immigrants in Malaysia. The earliest known use is from a Malaysian blog post in 2010, with no derogatory meaning.
