Liddel Water
Appearance
English
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From Old English hlÿde + dæl, valley of the River Lid (loud one).
Proper noun
[edit]- A river in the Scottish Borders council area and Dumfries and Galloway council area, Scotland.
- The same river in Cumbria, England.
Usage notes
