Partial calque of Mandarin 遼寧青銅文化辽宁青铜文化 (Liáoníng qīngtóng wénhuà), from 遼寧辽宁 (Liáoníng, Liaoning) +‎ 青銅青铜 (qīngtóng, bronze) +‎ 文化 (wénhuà, culture), with Liaoning being the location of the type site, and the fact that the culture is characterised by its manufacture of bronze daggers.
