Etymology

Borrowed from Punjabi ਖ਼ਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ (xālistān) / خالِصْتان (xāliṣtān). Literally, Land of the Khalsa . Analyzable as Khalsa +‎ -i- +‎ -stan.
