Etymology

From Old Persian 𐎣𐎲𐎢𐎪𐎡𐎹 (k-b-u-ji-i-y /⁠Kaᵐbūjiya⁠/). Supposed by some scholars to be related to Kamboja, although "there are also scholars who denounce a connection between Kamboja and Kambujiya [...] and who defend another etymology".[1]
