Proper noun
[edit]- (linguistics) An isogloss used in the linguistics of the langues d'oïl. Dialects north of the line have preserved Vulgar Latin /k/ and /ɡ/ before /a/; dialects south of the line have palatalized /k/ and /ɡ/ before /a/.
