[edit]- (now chiefly historical) A kind of fountain pen with a broad, stubby nib, originally stamped with a "J".
- 1897, Richard Marsh, The Beetle:
- The calligraphy was, like the paper, unusual, bold, decided, and, I should have guessed, produced by a J pen.
- 1915, W. Somerset Maugham, chapter 12, in Of Human Bondage:
