Ikhwan pl (plural only)

  1. (historical) A Wahhabi religious militia of the early 20th century, made up of traditionally nomadic tribesmen, which formed a significant military force of the ruler Ibn Saud and played an important role in establishing him as ruler of most of the Arabian Peninsula in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  2. The Muslim Brotherhood, a transnational Sunni Islamist organization founded in Egypt in 1928.
