     A yield test of seven grass varieties was conducted in the Hsinhua Livestock Research Institute at Tainan. They were planted on April 1, 1958. Philippine pangola yielded 24,074 kg. of air-dry weight per hectare in four cuttings made between June 27 and November 17. Hsinhua has seven wet months and five dry months; the above yields were for the wet season and therefore represent most of the production of one year.
