[edit]Possibly from Hokkien 玄孫 / 玄孙 (goân-sun, “great-great-grandson (in a male lineage)”)[1] or Hokkien 阮孫 / 阮孙 (goán sun, “our (exclusive) grandson”),[2] via Spanish Guanzon. Compare Tagalog Henson.
