[edit]So called due to its association with Greece, due to this type of yogurt being eaten by people from the Levantine region and Greece, and later it being mainly exported from Greece to the various parts of the English-speaking world by brands like Fage. Attested since at least 1968.

- A form of yogurt that has been strained to remove the whey, resulting in lower fat content and higher protein content.
