Fermat point (plural Fermat points)

  1. (geometry) A point such that the sum of the three distances from each of the three vertices of a given triangle to that point is the smallest possible; equivalently, the geometric median of the three vertices.
    Synonyms: Fermat-Torricelli point, Torricelli point
