Föhr-Amrum n (proper noun, genitive Föhr-Amrums or (optionally with an article) Föhr-Amrum)

  1. An association (German Gemeindeverband, regionally called Amt) among the twelve municipalities of the two islands of Föhr and Amrum, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
  2. (linguistics) the dialect of North Frisian spoken in these islands (except the Low German town of Wyk), comprising three subdialects (Amrum, western Föhr, eastern Föhr)
