    Large uniseriate filaments described as Qingshania magnifica, with cell diameters up to 250 μm, were described as early as 1989 by Yan (20) from thin sections of shales within the late Paleoproterozoic Chuanlinggou Formation, North China, and interpreted as primitive green algae.
