Agree, the very same fear (but with a little difference of being a Galemancer myself). Wish we could have a pure happy-ending for all our dearest companions in one walkthrough!
As a shameless Galemancer, yes, so worth it. I haven't even finished the game because Act 3 hasn't been great for me, but I so love his personal growth.
Any Galemancers who've successfully gotten his proposal ending (or not): were you able to get the good ending without telling him to ask for forgiveness before meeting Mystra?
I HIGHLY recommend the first 6 DL [Dragonlance] novels and I think all Galemancers will relate and love Raistlin as well, though his arc is a little different but the same in that he suffers from the fatal flaw of the lust for more and more power and to challenge the gods themselves (I won't spoil anymore).
(As a hobbyist writer I love the God of Ambition plot, but as a serial Galemancer I don't like this ending for him considering it is just the worst version of his bad behaviors)
