  కులము లో నొకండు గుణవంతుడు'౦డెనా? కులము వెలయు, వాని గుణముచేత. వెలయు వనము లోన మలయ - జంబు' న్న'ట్లు.

  kulamu lō nokaṇḍu guṇavantuḍu'0⁄16ḍenā? kulamu velayu, vāni guṇamucēta. velayu vanamu lōna malaya - jambu' nna'ṭlu.

  If there be in a tribe one of excellence, the tribe becomes illustrious by reason of his virtues, as the grove is distinguished for the sandal tree therein.
