- Was it one that didn't have the engine block modified with cylinder liners? The little aluminum engines were basically turned loose on the public to have them be the beta testers for bare aluminum cylinders. As I recall there was a cast iron version of the 4 cyl engine known as the Iron Duke which turned out to be a very good engine. ʘ‿ʘ
