Is there any logic over when to use this and when to use Category:Old French derivations? I can understand for leisure as it's more similar to the Norman spelling leisir than the 'Parisian' spelling loisir. But for bastard, why would that be here? Since the Norman and the Parisian spellings are both (deprecated template usage) bastard, why is this considered to be from Anglo-Norman rather than from Old French? I personally only tend to use Anglo-Norman derivations when the spelling is typically 'Norman' (see Appendix:Anglo-Norman spellings). --Mglovesfun (talk) 16:51, 20 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Note Category:Old French derivations is now Category:Terms derived from Old French. Mglovesfun (talk) 13:22, 17 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
