@Gente como tú, Ultimateria: I've created this cat some time ago, not knowing that CAT:Spanish verb plus plural noun compounds already existed. I've asked its creator (Hippietrail) if he had any suggestion about this, but the discussion was inconclusive.
So I'd like your opinion. Several questions:
- Is there no compound that uses a singular noun? Cf. French perce-neige (singular, since neige is uncountable)
- If there are, maybe we could split my cat in two subcats: Hippietrail's, and a new one?
- Should we rename mine CAT:Spanish verb–noun compound nouns? I don't think that would work for any other POS (verbs?), but you never know.
- Should we rename Hippietrail's? I find it hard to parse. --Per utramque cavernam (talk) 19:06, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Per utramque cavernam: I would say the existing category is mostly complete, and I only see quitaesmalte as uncountable. There may be more that I don't know of, but I don't think it merits a new category. I will say I like the wording of yours better, and I doubt anyone would protest if you moved them all into it. Adding the part of speech is unnecessary because they're all nouns. Ultimateria (talk) 18:42, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
- This is a good idea. I come across things to put in CAT:Spanish verb plus plural noun compounds all the time. Same goes for words that I come across which I'd like to put in CAT:Spanish verb plus singular noun compounds, which has never existed. I was gonna create it myself and populate it, but as you may know, I am a very erratic editor. --Gente como tú (talk) 13:30, 23 January 2018 (UTC)--Gente como tú (talk) 13:30, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
