Order of languages

[edit]

Is there anybody else who thinks that the order in which readings of han characters are presented in wiktionary: Cantonese, then Japanese, then Korean, and mostly at the end Mandarin, does not reflect the relative numbers of likely users and/or usages of the character? I think that a ranking based on size of the respective language would be more appropriate, i.e. Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, and then the others...

We always list languages in alphabetical order. The only exceptions are Translingual and English (because this is the English Wiktionary). I don't think you'll get any support for a more ad hoc approach. —RuakhTALK 14:47, 27 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
