What's wrong with [[Category:American football]]
? Has anyone ever called it football American? Mglovesfun (talk) 17:12, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Renameto Category:American football --Vahagn Petrosyan 22:53, 25 January 2010 (UTC)- Keep. Nobody in the US calls it American football either. Existing category is better than proposed substitute. It would at least appear alphabetically by default where someone from US would expect it. DCDuring TALK 00:49, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, I didn't think about alphabetization issues. I change my vote to abstain. --Vahagn Petrosyan 12:02, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Where's Canadian football? If this includes both, it should be called Category:Gridiron football.
Otherwise, American football. In either case, the name should be meaningful in a worldwide context, not just in the USA. —Michael Z. 2010-03-24 04:49 z
