I feel that مُنَافِق (munāfiq) is more of an accusation than a slur. If it is a slur, then is مُرْتَدّ (murtadd) also one? These, to me, sound like the usual accusations and defamations in religious polemics, not something like the employment of Papist or Amerikan, where an "attribute" is not ascribed, but rather scorned and mocked. Of course, a word like رَافِضِيّ (rāfiḍiyy) could be an accusation, but when it is so, it is an accusation of Shi'ism tinged with condemnation and thus appears to fit the category "slur" here. - @Roger.M.Williams: Well it isn’t, if we assume that to be a religious slur, a term must refer to a particular creed as well as being derogatory, and the use must be considered offensive enough. Interesting things though in Category:English ethnic slurs not fulfilling the analogous first requirement, e.g. chimpout or Frogspeak (if we distinguish ethnos and language!), Englishman. And everything starting with nigger, such as nigger in the woodpile, that cannot be true. Fay Freak (talk) 01:30, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
