Proto-West Germanic an-stem nouns.
These nouns are masculine or rarely neuter, typically with the following endings:
- in the nominative singular: -ō when masculine, -ā when neuter;
- in the genitive singular: -ini or -an;
- in the nominative plural: -an when masculine, -ōn when neuter.
The stem classes are named from the perspective of Proto-Germanic and may not still be visible in Proto-West Germanic inflections.
