Category:Ojibwe dependent nouns

Dependent nouns are not words by themselves and can't appear in a sentence alone. They are obligatorily possessed by someone, or some animate thing. For example, grandmother, -ookomis, must be inflected to indicate whose grandmother: nookomis (=my grandmother).
