Gothic u-stem nouns.
These nouns are masculine/feminine or neuter, typically with the following endings:
- in the nominative singular: -us when masculine or feminine, -u when neuter;
- in the genitive singular: -aus;
- in the nominative plural: -jus when masculine or feminine, unattested when neuter.
The stem classes are named from the perspective of Proto-Germanic and may not still be visible in Gothic inflections.
