Category:Finnish dated forms

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

Finnish forms that are no longer fashionable and thus are anachronistic, but still sometimes in use, especially by older speakers; and serve as alternative forms of the same terms in general use.

To categorize into this category, use {{dated form of|fi|...}} or {{dated spelling of|fi|...}}.

If the term is not merely a variant (alternative form) of a term in general use, it should be placed in [[Category:Finnish dated terms]] instead; to do this, use {{tlb|fi|dated}} (template tlb, not lb), which should typically be placed next to the headword. If only some senses of the term are dated, it should be categorized instead in [[Category:Finnish terms with dated senses]], using {{lb|fi|dated}} (template lb instead of tlb), which should typically be placed next to the individual sense.

Dated forms should be distinguished from archaic forms, which are no longer in use (except occasionally for special effect) but are still sometimes encountered in older literature and are typically recognized by native speakers; and obsolete forms, which are no longer in use at all and are not usually recognized by native speakers.
