Dutch Low Saxon forms that are in general use but not common; and serve as alternative forms of the same terms in general use.

To categorize into this category, use {{uncommon form of|nds-nl|...}} or {{uncommon spelling of|nds-nl|...}}.

If the term is not merely a variant (alternative form) of a term in general use, it should be placed in [[Category:Dutch Low Saxon uncommon terms]] instead; to do this, use {{tlb|nds-nl|uncommon}} (template tlb, not lb), which should typically be placed next to the headword. If only some senses of the term are uncommon, it should be categorized instead in [[Category:Dutch Low Saxon terms with uncommon senses]], using {{lb|nds-nl|uncommon}} (template lb instead of tlb), which should typically be placed next to the individual sense.

Uncommon forms should be distinguished from rare forms, which are infrequent enough that they are sometimes not recognized by native speakers.
