This category includes verbs that end in -VhmV (where 'V' stands for any vowel) and that undergo the hm-rule (this rule is triggered lexically, meaning that not all verbs ending in -VhmV undergo it). The hm-rule occurs if these verbs are are followed by a suffix with a single initial coronal consonant. When the hm-rule is triggered, -mV- is deleted and the first vowel of -VhmV is nasalized. This results in -V̱h-. Here follow a few examples with the original verb first and the verb after undergoing the hm-rule thereafter:
