[edit]- A taxonomic species within the order Serinales – a multi-drug-resistant yeast fungus that causes fungemia, yielding candidemia (systemic candidiasis); synonym of Candidozyma auris.
Usage notes
[edit]- Genus Candidozyma was erected in 2024 to include a few species of Candida and several new species.
- Genus Candida was previously placed in family Saccharomycetaceae (order Saccharomycetales).
