- brotherhood (the state of being brothers or considering each other as brethren)
- (less common) Alternative form of Bruderschaft (“fraternity”)
- A drink, usually alcoholic, shared (usually between men) to seal a friendship and mark the change from the use of the plural Sie second-person pronoun to the familiar du pronoun
