Etymology

From blue +‎ MAGA. From blue, the color associated with the Democratic Party and MAGA ("Make America Great Again"), the slogan used by Donald Trump during his election campaigns.

First coined by conservatives in 2017 after the 2016 US presidential election, popularised in mid-2024 after the initial presidential debate during Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
