• This bilingual code-switching phenomenon is chiefly practiced in or from the Philippines, especially in Metro Cebu and other Cebuano-speaking areas of Visayas and Mindanao where Cebuano and English are the colloquial and formal mainstream languages, among other local languages during the 20th to 21st century.
