I am quite puzzled by the phrase "miserere nobis". Shouldn't it be considered a grammatical mistake? I looked in the dictionary, and it clearly says that the verb "misereor" should have the genitive (as in "miserere mei" (and not "miserere mihi". Why, then, the dative?
