I'm also acquainted with this usage, although I don't know the extent to which it is gender-specific; seems like anyone could do it. I added it as an additional sense (not sure how best to attest gestures but it's not uncommon in films). Arlo Barnes (talk) 23:35, 24 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
